Userful On-Premise Enterprise
Userful Enterprise allows customers to easily display content from any source to any combination of screens and video walls in a real time. Picture-in-picture and multi-window features give granular control over how sources are displayed.
HOW IT WORKS
Understanding On-Premise Enterprise
Userful On-Premise software installs on an off-the-shelf commercially available Server and turns it into a browser managed video wall and a display controller.
The entire solution is managed through an easy to use, drag and drop browser based interface for setting up displays and managing content. Manage locally via the LAN or use the cloud to centrally manage displays globally.
How Userful Connects to Displays
The PC/Server connects to displays over a standard ethernet network using TCP/IP. Each display needs either a zero client receiver or supported Smart displays can use the Userful uClient App which is installed directly on the display and replaces the zero client receiver--all communication with the on-premise server is done by the display itself.
Zero client receivers are small stateless devices that have no processor or software, they connect to the screen using HDMI and have an ethernet port to connect to the network. Userful’s uClient App is software that installs directly on supported smart displays and eliminates the need for a zero client.
Zones, Multiwindow and
Allows operators to display multiple simultaneous content sources with maximum flexibility.
Why Choose On-Premise Enterprise
Administrators can preset multiple layout and content configurations across all displays and either staff or administrators can invoke presets using any device.
Software KVM feature allows to control of keyboard and mouse of interactive sessions from a browser.
Split a display or a video wall into subdivisions to show multiple sources running simultaneously, in a fixed layout across or within bezel lines.
Unlimited layout allows the user to add a truly limitless amount of displays to the deployment (only limited by server power).
Enables users to display sources in inset windows while the main source content continues to play in the background.
Multiple sources can be displayed simultaneously.
Add VNC software to as many desktops as desired and stream multiple desktops onto the video wall in real time over the network.
Supports LCD displays, LCD smart displays as well as LED displays.
Multi User Permissions
Allows Admins to give other staff members limited access to Userful Control Center (eg. allowing staff to control sources without having access to admin level functions).
Optional backup server to ensure continuous system availability. Settings are automatically shared between primary server and backup server.
All of Userful's control and management tools are browser based.
Synchronize playback of a single source across multiple displays or video walls (the same content plays at exactly the same time).
Architectural approach, ability to set PC/Server in secure location, and fully locked down software ensure security and peace of mind.
Real Time Control
Drag and drop conent sources anywhere on your video wall and manipulate them in real-time.
Where to use On-Premise Enterprise
Control Rooms and Command Centers
Control Rooms need video walls to ensure situational awareness and to facilitate decision making.
An easy-to-use GUI gives granular control over the video wall allowing operators to interact with and resize sources in real time.
Meeting rooms, conference rooms
Use a video wall for collaboration and for video conferencing. Ensure your team works together efficiently whether in one office or many.
Any local HDMI source including video conferencing. Desktop sharing over the network allows display of multiple desktops.
NOCs and SOCs
Network Operation Centers and Security Operation Centers need video walls to monitor key infrastruccture
Use Userful Server to display an unlimited number of independent browser sessions to display dashboards.
Data and Dashboards
Use displays and video walls to show dashboards, KPIs and business intelligence. Ensure all staff have the data and information they need at their fingertips.
Configure multiple dashboards and information sources on the video wall then save those configurations for later recall with the click of a mouse.
Executive office walls
Display multiple data sources on video walls, connect desktop for presentations or for video conferencing in executive suites.
Users can easily switch sources to move between data dashboards, video conferencing and slide show presentations.
Userful Certified 8-Core Xeon CPU processor, 64GB RAM , 1TB SSD (from Lenovo or HP )
1Gbps NIC & 1gig uplink port on switch
10Gpbs NIC & 10gig uplink port on switch
Isolated network or subnet is strongly recommended for all zero client receivers.
Varies up to 7Gbps between Userful on premise server and displays based on the type of session and source being played.
External capture cards supported
Note that while capture cards are not HDCP compliant but customers can use additional add on devices to deliver protected sources.
SOURCE AND PLAYBACK
Video walls of up to 100+ displays from a single server
Note: upscaling allows each display to play source at the display’s native resolution.
Supported External Sources
Real time video camera feed (RTSP), Live TV, Laptop or PC input, Media player, HDMI and SDI input, DVD, Gaming console, desktop streaming using VNC and RDP.
Supported Internal Sources
Video playlist, Interactive Desktop, Full screen browser, Image+video slideshow, Desktop applications.
Other Source Types
Zero Client Receiver Video Output
Maximum output 1920x1080 @ 60FPS (1080p60) per zero client receiver.
30 fps (recommended)
60 fps (increases network bandwidth and GPU resources)
Scaling can be done on the server side, on the display side or both. Server side scaling uses cubic lancos. Heavy scaling on the server side increases the number of pixels delivered through the network so may require 10gig NIC on PC and 10gig uplink port on the switch.
Admin can also designate which zero-client device outputs the sound.
Keyboard, Mouse & USB Device Support
Userful’s Interactive Viewer feature can be used to control the mouse and keyboard of a video wall, zone or standalone display running an interactive (desktop, remote desktop, or web browser) session.
